Stucco Lustro is an Italian smooth and shiny marmorino. Composed of very fine filtered aged lime putty and natural components, it is both very easy and very pleasant to apply for very traditional finishes.
Marmorino and stucco techniques are very old. Its use is common in Rome, on moldings and frescoes.
Stuccos are very thin plasters. They are built in two or three layers. Then they are smoothed to obtain brightness.
Stucco Lustro is ready to use. No additional water or additives are required. It is very shiny and 100% natural and eco-friendly.
Stucco can be coloured using pigments and is applied in two layers (wet on wet). The substrate must be perfectly smooth, clean and rid of any trace of imperfections (paper glue, artificial paint, etc ...). It is advisable to apply a layer of Primer San Tomasso on non-porous substrates before the application of a stucco or a marmorino.
