Breathaplasta Universal
Breathaplasta Universal is a fast-setting, multi-purpose hemp-lime plaster designed for internal wall and ceiling applications. Manufactured from lime and bio-based materials, it provides a breathable, moisture-regulating alternative to conventional gypsum and cement-based plasters.
Suitable for both renovation and new-build projects, Breathaplasta Universal can be applied to a wide range of substrates including masonry, plasterboard, wood fibre boards, wood wool boards, hempcrete, and mineral backgrounds. Its versatile formulation allows it to be used as both a base coat and finishing plaster within breathable construction systems.

Why Use Breathaplasta Universal?
Breathaplasta Universal combines the breathability of a traditional lime plaster with the speed and convenience expected from modern construction materials. Its fast-setting hemp-lime formulation allows rapid application while remaining vapour open and moisture regulating.
Suitable for a wide range of substrates, it is particularly useful within breathable wall systems incorporating wood fibre, wood wool, hempcrete, and traditional masonry where moisture management and indoor air quality are important considerations.
Installation Overview
1. Surface Preparation
Ensure substrates are clean, sound, and suitable for plaster application.
2. Mixing
Mix one 18kg bag with approximately 11 litres of clean water until a smooth, workable consistency is achieved.
3. Application
Apply a minimum of two coats. Additional coats may be applied where greater build-up is required, up to the manufacturer's recommended thickness.
4. Reinforcement
Where required, embed reinforcing mesh within the base coat in accordance with the system specification.
5. Finishing
Finish to the desired texture or smoothness using standard plastering techniques.
