Course Agenda

This course will cover the advantages of using STEICO  wood fibre insulation in construction. 

STEICO offers its customers ecological construction products from renewable raw materials and has been able to position itself in its thirty-year history as a system provider for ecological house building and innovation drivers. STEICO is actively driving the trend amongst architects and specifiers to select natural, breathable wood fibre solutions that meet the UK government’s ambition for healthy homes and buildings.

STEICO uses timber from sustainable forests which are managed under strict directives from the FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) and PEFC®. Therefore STEICO offers the highest environmental standards from production right through to the end product.

We will show examples of different types of wood fibre insulation products including flexible batts, rigid boards and air injected insulation.

This course will look at the use of Wood Fibre boards in: New Build Construction & Roof Construction

Course Presenters

Martin Twamley BSc (Hons) is the Technical Director of STEICO UK Ltd who are a subsidiary of STEICO SE, the world’s largest producer of wood fibre insulation.

Martin trained as an Architectural Technician, working on numerous projects across Europe, and has been involved in the supply, design and specification of both structural timber products and natural insulation materials for over 30 years. He has also been a guest lecturer on various EU funded skills workshops, which promote the use of natural and sustainable building processes.

In his spare time Martin is actively involved with The Conservation Volunteers who aim to connect communities with the green spaces around them

Harry Good-Stephenson is the Director of Roundtower Building Products Ltd and has been involved in Roundtower for the past 6 years. He studied Business and Entrepreneurship at the University of Reading. Harry has an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the restoration and new build industry using lime-based products as well as natural insulations and is heavily involved in advising and assisting architects with specifications for conservation and restoration projects.

On The Day

On the morning of the training course, all participants will receive an email containing the link to join the online course, which will be taking place via Zoom.

There will be a brief introduction from one of the Roundtower Lime team, followed by the presentation by the trainer, with the opportunity to ask questions at the end in a dedicated Q and A session with our guest speaker and our team. We will endeavour to answer all the questions presented during the time slot, however if we don't manage to, any of our team will be happy to follow up after the session.
