Roundtower Marine P60 Mortar
Roundtower Marine P60 Mortar is a high-strength natural cement mortar developed for masonry exposed to severe marine and water-bearing conditions. Manufactured using Natural Cement and 5mm down sharp washed flint sand, it provides rapid strength development, high adhesion, and exceptional durability where structures are exposed to tidal action, wave impact, saltwater, and prolonged saturation.
With a compressive strength of approximately 60 N/mm², Marine P60 is typically specified for heavily exposed marine infrastructure, structural repairs, harbour works, seawalls, bridge abutments, and other locations where maximum durability is required. Unlike lime mortars, it does not rely on carbonation to harden, allowing it to perform in permanently damp or submerged conditions.

Key Benefits
Designed for Severe Marine Exposure
Suitable for masonry exposed to tidal action, saltwater, wave impact, constant wetting, and submerged conditions.
High Early Strength
Rapid strength development helps reduce the risk of washout and damage in exposed marine environments.
No Carbonation Required
Hardens hydraulically, making it suitable for permanently damp and underwater conditions.
High Adhesion & Durability
Developed for demanding structural and marine applications where long-term performance is critical.
Sulphate Resistant
Suitable for aggressive coastal and salt-laden environments.
Portland Cement Free
Contains no Portland cement, synthetic polymers, or pigments.
Typical Applications
Application Suitability Sea Walls ✓ Harbour Structures ✓ Quay Walls ✓ Bridge Repairs ✓ Coastal Defence Works ✓ Tidal Zone Masonry ✓ Submerged Masonry ✓ Structural Marine Repairs ✓ Conservation Projects ✓ Why Use Marine P60?
Marine P60 is the highest-strength mortar within the Cornerstone Marine range and is designed for projects where exceptional durability and rapid strength development are required.
Its combination of high compressive strength, sulphate resistance, water resistance, and underwater curing capability makes it particularly suitable for structural marine repairs and heavily exposed coastal environments where conventional mortars may be vulnerable to deterioration.
Installation Overview
1. Surface Preparation
Substrates should be clean, sound, and free from loose material.
2. Mixing
Mix with clean water or clear seawater free from biological contamination, silt, and sand.
3. Application
Suitable for pointing, building, bedding, and structural masonry repairs in marine and water-bearing environments.
4. Protection
Do not apply below 5°C or above 30°C. Protect fresh work from frost, heavy rain, direct sunlight, and drying winds.
5. Storage
Store dry, covered, and protected from moisture and frost.
