Fully waterproof, chemically resistant natural cement mortar for the harshest marine and wastewater environments above and below the waterline.
What it is
-
Dry, ready-mixed Prompt Natural Cement with selected natural sands — no Portland cement, no synthetic polymers, no lime (so no carbonation phase).
-
The most robust mortar in the Roundtower Marine range: highest compressive strength, lowest water absorption, and best chemical resistance.
-
Formulated for a fast set with high adhesion and inherent sulphate resistance.
Where it fits
-
Choose P60 when you need waterproofing + chemical/acid/alkali resistance in polluted harbours, rivers, industrial outfalls, wastewater assets (channels, culverts, manholes), sewer linings, and animal pen floors.
-
If you need waterproofing without the extreme chemical resistance, consider P50.
-
If water resistance (not fully waterproof) is sufficient, consider P30.
Performance at a glance
-
Working/open time: ~45 minutes at 17 °C (ambient & suction dependent).
-
Rapid strength development and fast initial set to resist washout and scour.
-
Waterproof in service with very low absorption and excellent chemical durability.
-
More flexible than typical OPC mortars at similar strength; high bond reduces debonding risk.
Typical applications
-
Pointing and bedding in tidal/splash and submerged zones exposed to pollutants, salts, acids and alkalis.
-
Wastewater and agricultural settings requiring a waterproof, chemically resistant mortar.
Coverage & yield
-
25 kg → Approx14.5 L fresh mortar.
-
Approx. 1.5 m² of joint at 10 mm depth (actual yield varies with joint width/depth and substrate texture).
-
On-site trials recommended to confirm consumption.
Application essentials
-
Prep: Rake out to sound arrises; remove salts/bio-growth; pre-dampen.
-
Mix: Add clean water to a cohesive, plastic consistency; do not over-water. Discard material that has begun to set.
-
Place/Finish: Compact fully to the back of the joint; finish as the mortar firms.
-
Cure/Protect: Shield from frost, rain, direct sun, drying winds and washout through initial set; maintain gentle curing.
-
Temperature window: +5 °C to +30 °C (allow for wind-chill/radiant heat). Avoid if freezing is forecast during early cure.
Colour & batching
-
Natural, pigment-free tan; final tone varies with curing and exposure. Custom colours not available.
