The Helifix CemTie is a specialist stainless steel masonry reinforcement tie designed to stabilise and strengthen solid masonry walls, including traditional stonework, brickwork and rubble-filled walls. This versatile structural repair system provides an effective solution for securing unstable masonry, reconnecting separated walls and reinforcing weakened building elements without the need for extensive rebuilding.
Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, Helifix CemTie is installed using Helifix HeliBond cementitious grout, creating a strong mechanical connection within the masonry while allowing for normal structural movement.
Its concealed installation makes CemTie particularly suitable for historic buildings, heritage conservation projects and traditional masonry repairs, where preserving the original appearance of the building is a priority.
Ideal for Traditional Stone and Brick Masonry Repairs
Over time, traditional masonry buildings can develop structural problems due to settlement, weathering, deterioration of mortar joints or movement within the building fabric. These issues can result in bulging walls, separation between adjoining walls, loose masonry and instability around arches or lintels.
Helifix CemTie provides a discreet and effective method of reinforcing affected areas by creating a secure connection within the masonry.
The system is especially useful for stabilising solid stone walls and rubble-filled masonry, where conventional wall ties or surface-mounted reinforcement may not be suitable.
For heritage restoration projects, CemTie offers the advantage of strengthening existing masonry while minimising disturbance to original stonework, brickwork and architectural details.

Installation
Helifix CemTie is installed into a pre-drilled hole within the masonry using a specialist grouting applicator.
Once the hole has been drilled and thoroughly cleaned, the stainless steel tie is inserted into a grout-filled installation nozzle. Helifix HeliBond grout is then injected into the hole, carrying the tie into position and ensuring it becomes fully embedded within the masonry.
The result is a concealed, fully grouted reinforcement designed to provide a secure connection within the existing structure.
Installation positions, tie lengths, spacing and anchorage requirements should be determined in accordance with the relevant Helifix repair specification and structural assessment.
A Practical Solution for Heritage Masonry Conservation
Helifix CemTie is particularly valuable in the conservation and repair of historic buildings, where traditional masonry construction requires a sympathetic approach to structural strengthening.
By allowing unstable masonry to be reinforced without unnecessary rebuilding, the system helps retain original building materials and architectural character.
For conservation contractors, structural engineers and restoration specialists, Helifix CemTie offers a practical and minimally invasive solution for repairing and stabilising traditional stone and brick masonry.
