Roundtower Heritage Grout

Roundtower Heritage Grout is a dry, ready-mixed Natural Hydraulic Lime grout designed for pumping, pouring, or needle injection into voids within solid masonry structures. With its fine particle size and high-flow characteristics, it is specifically developed for consolidating stone and brick masonry, filling internal voids, cracks, and delaminated cores while maintaining the breathability of the wall structure.

Manufactured using 100% pure Natural Hydraulic Lime, graded powdered mineral fillers, and carefully selected conservation-grade additives, Heritage Grout is suitable for heritage repairs, structural consolidation, and masonry stabilisation where compatibility with traditional construction is essential.

Key Benefits

Designed for Masonry Consolidation

The fine particle size and high-flow formulation allow the grout to penetrate deep into voids, cracks, and cavities within masonry structures.

Breathable & Compatible

Manufactured using Natural Hydraulic Lime, Heritage Grout remains vapour open and compatible with traditional solid-wall construction.

High Flow Characteristics

Suitable for:

  • Gravity pouring
  • Pump injection
  • Needle injection

allowing effective filling of inaccessible voids within masonry.

Multiple Strength Options

Available in:

  • Ultra Low Strength
  • Low Strength
  • Medium Strength
  • High Strength

allowing the grout specification to be matched to the substrate and project requirements.

Suitable for Heritage Projects

Developed for conservation and restoration work where sympathetic repair and compatibility with historic fabric are essential.

Typical Applications

  • Masonry consolidation
  • Void filling
  • Crack filling
  • Stone wall stabilisation
  • Brick masonry repairs
  • Needle injection grouting
  • Heritage restoration
  • Conservation projects
  • Solid wall construction

Why Use Heritage Grout?

Traditional masonry structures often contain hidden voids, delaminated cores, or areas of weakened masonry that require stabilisation without introducing rigid or impermeable materials.

Roundtower Heritage Grout provides a breathable lime-based solution that can be pumped or injected into these voids, helping consolidate the structure while maintaining compatibility with traditional masonry construction. The availability of multiple strength grades allows the grout to be matched to the existing substrate, reducing the risk of introducing unnecessarily strong repair materials.

Installation Overview

1. Investigation

Identify the location and extent of voids before specifying the appropriate grout strength.

2. Mixing

Add water in accordance with the project specification and mix thoroughly until a smooth, pumpable consistency is achieved.

3. Application

Suitable for:

  • Pumping
  • Gravity pouring
  • Needle injection

depending on the nature of the void and access available.

4. Consolidation

Allow the grout to fully penetrate and consolidate the masonry before undertaking further repair works.

5. Storage

Store dry and protected from moisture prior to use.

Available Strength Grades

Grade Typical Use
Ultra Low Strength Fragile historic masonry
Low Strength Traditional stone and brickwork
Medium Strength General consolidation works
High Strength Structural masonry stabilisation

The appropriate strength should always be selected based on the condition and strength of the existing masonry.
