Beeck Fixative is a colourless, vapour-permeable mineral primer and consolidator, specially formulated to enhance the durability, adhesion, and weather resistance of Beeck Mineral Paints. Made from pure potassium waterglass, it strengthens the bond between absorbent mineral surfaces and Beeck paints by chemically binding with the substrate’s silica content.
Used as part of the Beeck Mineral Paint System, Beeck Fixative is suitable for both internal and external applications, making it an essential treatment for lime plaster, lime pointing, cement render, limewash, and other porous or fragile mineral surfaces.

When to Use Beeck Fixative

Application & Coverage

Ensure the background is stable, clean, water-wettable, and free from debris or contaminants

For fresh lime render/plaster with surface binder deposits or for existing sinter skins, pre-treat with Beeck Etching Fluid

For substrates with minor cracks or unevenness, use Beeck Quartz Filler before priming

Dilute Beeck Fixative 1 part Fixative to 2 parts clean potable water for use as a primer or consolidator
